We are required by UK Law to perform a skin/patch test for ALL NEW colour clients (as well as returning clients we have not seen for extended periods OR wish for a change).

One of the most important services we offer is our free Hair Colour Consultation.
A free 15 minuet hair consultation is essential if you are thinking about trying out a new hair colour, having a restyle or maybe you need a colour correction? Our colour experts will happily guide you through all the available options. They will asses your current and base colour, so they can tell which colours and services will work for your hair.
We stand by our statement that is impossible to accurately quote for hair colour services without physically seeing your hair and conversing with you. There are a lot of variables to consider, and everyones hair is different. We always want to ensure we are as accurate as possible, and need to gather all the correct information to give you an accurate quotation. This is something we can do during your consultation.
Every colouring process is different – it’s an art! Consultations allow us to continue delivering a high quality service to our wonderful clients. During the consultation we will tell you if your goal is achievable, if it will require more than one appointment, and in some circumstances we will perform a strand test (this is where out stylist will cut a small section of hair for us to colour, so you can see the result before you book in). If we do not believe your result can be achieved safely, we will be honest with you, and make recommendations.

How can I prepare for a hair consultation?
To ensure yourself and your stylist are completely aligned we have put together a guide for you on what helps us help you!
Reflect on your current hair.
Begin by looking at your hair now. What do you like about your hair, and what do you dislike? Have you faced any issues with your hair, such as breakage or dryness? Is your hair too high maintenance?
Have an idea of your ultimate goal.
After you have taken a long look at your current hair in the mirror you will likely now know what you want to change and what you want to keep the same. These are your hair goals!
We recommend typing these out, for example in your Notes on your phone. This way, you won’t forget any details when you hop into our chair.
Do a little research!
If you want to understand what kind of services and options are available, take a look through our price list, where you will find a description of each service and who it is best suited to.
Gather some photo inspo for your stylist.
As you look through the internet and social media for inspiration, make sure to save anything that fits your hair goals. This way, you can show us hairdresser exactly what you want, which can help prevent any miscommunication.

Consider your hair history.
Finally, before your appointment, make sure to have a mental note of your hair history.
What do we mean by this?
Hair history just means anything that has been done to your hair, for example colouring, bleaching, treatments, etc.
It’s important for us to know what your hair has been through so we can get a feel for how it will react to certain treatments.

A hair cut consultation is a great opportunity to discuss your hair goals before your actual appointment, whether you have a solid vision or you need some guidance.
